Portsmouth Abbey’s summer program runs for a month on our stunning campus on the shores of Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. Rising students in grades 7, 8, and 9 participate in a transformational and intentionally-designed program, striking a thoughtful balance between enrichment and recreation while remaining rooted in our Benedictine foundation. In addition to classes taught by Portsmouth Abbey faculty, students participate in athletics, campus activities, and weekend trips including Martha's Vineyard, whale-watching, Six Flags, and beach days in Newport.

The Portsmouth Abbey Summer Program is a real school. Our courses engage, excite, and enrich a student's mind, all while increasing facility with the skills necessary to be successful in school. These are substantive courses, with rich content. Our goal is that students leave here with increased skills and confidence as learners, as well a possessing greater knowledge. Our small class sizes ensure that they receive highly personalized and individual attention.
