Toronto Zoo offers summer school for high school students to earn Grade 11 Biology, University Preparation (SBI3U) credit at the Zoo. This unique learning experience engages students through an innovative combination of onsite lessons and behind-the-scenes tours combined with virtual offerings including teacher led lessons and activities. Students gain insider knowledge on the Zoo's conservation programs and career discussions with Zoo staff. Zoo School operates 50% in-person and 50% virtually. This hybrid model allows for students to attend the Zoo for appropriate zoo-linked curriculum expectations while also giving them the convenience of attending teacher-led lessons from home, without the need to travel to the Zoo. The on-line portion of the course will be delivered synchronously (a teacher will be present).
