About Camp Magic

For the past 18 years, Camp Magic has operated in Singapore as a top quality holiday program for children 3-12 years. Safety is the program’s first priority, and fun a very close second.

The program was founded and created by Canadian performance storyteller, artist, and educator Katherine McLeod. Before Camp Magic, Katherine’s company offered drama programs and performances at various international schools in Singapore and the region. She quickly began to recognize the need for children to have time away from the school routine where they could engage their imaginations fully. This break from the outer world, and attention to ones inner landscape frees the child from limitations – where everything becomes possible. A deepened sense of self-confidence is soon discovered, and an innate belief in ones strengths, desires, and dreams.

Summer Program Features

The June/July program – Journeys – is essentially about travelling into the expansive mindscape to access our creative impulses – inviting a broadened, enriched understanding of oneself in the world. In addition, the stories ignite a profound intellectual interplay that extends the tale itself to support overall learning and participation at camp and beyond.

This year’s journey includes Performance, Arts and Crafts, Storytelling, Baking, Drumming and Rhythm, Music, and Circus. Choose one week, two, three… or all five!

Week 2: June 25-29: Norse Mythology, Scandinavia

Week 3: July 2-6: Native American Mythology, Canada and U.S.

Week 4: July 9-13: Greek Mythology, Greece

Week 5: July 16-20: Japanese Folklore, Japan
